Home remedies for swollen gums: Swollen gums are a common issue seen in many young adults and teenagers. Do you know, it  causes lots of pain and unease in the mouth. Home Remedies and Natural Treatment for Swollen Gums

Salt and water:

Salt is the best remedy to cure swollen and painful gums. It contributes to healing swollen gums and prevents bacterial growth in the oral cavity.

Directions:

Take 1 spoon of salt and mix it with one glass of lukewarm water. 

After brushing with a soft bristle brush, use it to as a mouthwash.

Wash your mouth with warm water after 3 minutes.

Do it once during the day and night.

After getting relief, use this wash 4 times in a week to control stop re-occurrence.

Black pepper and clove:

This is used as a natural therapy to treat many dental infections and problems like plaque, cavity, bleeding, swollen gums and sensitivity. Clove and black pepper reduces the swelling of the gums and inhibits bacteria accumulation and cures several diseases. This natural cure for swollen red gums will also stop the bleeding in case the gums gets too sensitive and bleeds.

Directions:

Take cloves and black pepper and chew it for some time.

It will give relief to your swollen gum pain.

Alternatively, take 1 spoons of black pepper and 2 clove powder, apply it on the gums with a clean finger.

Aloe vera gel:

Aloe-Vera consists anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties that block the bacteria spreads around the gums and control pain arising from swelling of gums. Directions:

Take adequate amount of aloe Vera gel in a bowl, now rub this gel on the swell gums and gently massage it on the gums.

Keep it for 3 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Lemon:

Lemon can treat the swollen red gums fast and easily. It fights against the bacterial infection and stops re-occurrence of swelling of the glues. This natural remedy for swollen and bleeding gums will also help in reduction of the inflammation of the gums.

Directions:

Take 1 glass of fresh and warm water, add 2 spoons of lemon juice and mix it properly.

Now use it to rinse your mouth. Repeat this remedy twice in a day to get rid of swollen gums.

Repeat this rinse after 2 meals in a day to get maximum relief and early treatment.

Turmeric:

This is a single natural spice that is very useful for treating all types of infections and bacterial diseases of skin, hair and gums. If there is bleeding too along with the swelling then too turmeric is wonderful cure. Moreover, turmeric will also tighten the gums.

Directions:

Take 2 spoons of turmeric powder and add 1 spoon of salt in it

By adding 1 ½ spoon of water in it, make a thick paste

After brushing, apply this paste on the gums gently

Keep it for 5 minutes and rinse it with warm water.

Ginger and Garlic:

Ginger juice can reduce swelling from the gums. It works against bacterial growth and inflammation caused by it.

Garlic on the other hand has been proven to cure gum infection. It’s anti-fungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties heal all dental infections naturally.

Directions:

Take 1 small stick of ginger and 4 cloves of garlic, combine these two things and make a paste of it.

Gently apply this paste on the swollen gums and keep it for 4-5minutes.

Remember, do not consume anything or make any moments at that time.

After 5 minutes, rinse it with salt water and get relief.
