Tips on Choosing Makeup Products for Oily Acne Prone Skin
Oily and acne prone skin is really hard to maintain and I say this from my personal experience. I have passed the teenage peacefully and the mid twenties but these acne and pimples will not leave me yet. Now that I use makeup, it becomes more tiring to maintain the oily and acne prone skin. Buy why? This is simply girls, because when we use makeup which is not suitable for our oily and acne prone skin then that product is more likely to block the skin pores. And when these pores on the skin get clogged with dead skin oils, grease, dirt etc then the skin problems shows up. With skin problem, I mean whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and severe acne.
So, in this post I will be sharing how to choose the makeup to help save the acne prone skin from getting even worse.
Tips to choose Makeup Products for Oily Acne Prone Skin

Foundations
Always choose a water based light foundation which will not clog the facial skin pores. The water based formula will let the skin to breath. You should also consider using a sheer coverage foundation as we can understand you want to hide the marks etc but the more you would use the problem of acne will get worse thus use sheer coverage foundation.
Concealers
I would suggest that you should not use the concealer too much as most of them are thicker and oily in nature. Rather, you can use concealer under the eyes but reduce the usage on the acne and marks. You will see that the less you apply the more the skin will heal.
Blushes and Bronzers
Most of the cream blushes are creamy and greasy in texture. Thus, If you have oily acne prone skin and you don’t want any more skin problems then powder blushes are far better option. Compact Powders
To keep the skin oil free do not keep layering the compact powder throughout the day, This can make your skin look cakey beauties, Rather use blotting sheets to absorb the excessive oils from the face.
Some Extra Tips to keep the oily acne prone skin clear
This is also very important to clean the makeup up completely when you go to bed. Take off the entire make up with the makeup removing facial wipes or with the makeup remover. Read: Homemade makeup remover recipes
Then wash the face with a tea tree or salicylic acid based cleanser which will further clear the bacterial infection.
To treat the pimples and the acne infection, you can apply a pimple curing treatments like retinols, antibiotics etc at night so that gradually the skin becomes clearer.
You can also take steam for 5-7 minutes every week to unclog the facial pores.
Similarly scrubbing the face 3 times in a week to keep the skin clean and clear of the dead skin cells. You know, these dead skin cells are more likely to clog the pores where the bacteria reside and breed to form pimples.
